The Beginning:
The African people originated from a nomadic people called the Bushmen, who were first found in the Middle East and North Africa. The Bushmen eventually moved to South Africa, mainly in the Botswana area, in approximately 6000 BC because of the favorable ecological conditions10. These people lived undisturbed until the migration of the Sotho mid Nguni people in approximately 200 BC who claimed land, restricting the hunting and nomadic behaviors of the Bushmen10. The Sotho and Nguni people are from the same origins as the Bushmen who did not travel into Botswana, but stayed in Central West Africa, planted crops, domesticated animals and acquired skills of working with metal before moving into Southern Africa10.
